Highly regarded tango dancer and teacher, competitions judge and choreographer, as well as Gyrotonic trainer, Laura Melo is recognized for her particular way of teaching dance using the natural, organic and bio-mechanical approach to movement. Her tango technique classes are a fundamental and indispensable tool in understanding the movement in an effortless, non-tense way.

LAURA MELO Our story
Having graduated in psychomotricity, higher music studies and piano, Laura Melo has taught and performed in international tango festivals in Europe, Asia, and Australia, as well as in many tango schools in Buenos Aires. She has been featured in tango documentaries for BBC London and RAI TV Italiana, and has been a member of the dance company, "Unión Tanguera”.
Between 2002 and 2017 Laura has developed her professional dance career alongside her partner, Ricardo Barrios. Together, they have performed in festivals, on stages and in concerts in Europe, Asia and in Australia.
